Uxbridge Mixed Media artist Lynne McIlvride reacquainted herself with her older more 3 dimensional symmetrical style in her latest commission for Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Toronto.
The Botanical Illustration program exposed me to colored pencil (see Rhododendron drawing in coloured pencil), pen and ink (see birch bark drawing in pen and ink) as well as water colour. Each new medium stretched my brain in new ways to my surprise and delight.
The $1000 Gift Certificate prize was the result of a new partnership between The Second Wedge Brewing Company and The Uxbridge Studio Tour aimed at inspiring local people to explore the incredible talent of artists and craftspeople in the community.
