- Is the Uxbridge Studio Tour free?
Yes! The Uxbridge Studio Tour is completely free to attend. There are no tickets or admission fees. Simply choose the artists and studios you’d like to visit and start exploring. Artwork is available to purchase directly from participating artists, but there is never any obligation to buy.
- Can I buy art after the Uxbridge Studio Tour?
Absolutely! If you’re still thinking about a piece you discovered during the Tour, you can contact the artist directly after Tour weekend. Visit our Artist Lineup to find the artist you’re looking for and connect through their website or contact information, which can be found on their bio page.
Many artists continue to sell their work throughout the year, although availability of a particular piece can’t be guaranteed.
- Is the Uxbridge Studio Tour accessible?
Accessibility varies by studio location and even from one year to the next. Because the Uxbridge Studio Tour takes place in working studios, homes and other unique creative spaces, some locations may have stairs, uneven surfaces or other accessibility limitations.
For detailed accessibility information about a particular studio, we encourage you to contact the artist directly before your visit. They are in the best position to answer questions about their space and help you determine whether it will meet your individual accessibility needs.
- How can I find the types of art I’m most interested in?
With more than 50 artists working in painting, sculpture, ceramics, jewellery, textiles, woodworking, mixed media and more, there’s plenty to choose from! Explore our Artist Lineup to discover artists by medium and decide which studios you don’t want to miss.

- Are washrooms available during the Uxbridge Studio Tour?
Washroom availability varies from studio to studio, as many Uxbridge Studio Tour locations are private homes and working artist studios. We recommend planning washroom stops along your route at local restaurants, cafés and other businesses you visit during your day.
- Is parking available at Uxbridge Studio Tour locations?
Yes, parking is available near each of our Uxbridge Studio Tour locations, with most visitors parking along the road. Some studios have limited parking close to the entrance, so during busy times you may need to park a little farther away and take a short walk to the studio.
Please park safely and be considerate of neighbours, driveways and other Tour visitors. Parking conditions vary by location and throughout the day, so stay safe, be mindful of traffic and don’t rush..
- What happens if it rains during the Uxbridge Studio Tour?
The Uxbridge Studio Tour takes place rain or shine! Most Studio Artists display their work indoors, but some Guest Artists may be set up outside, and several studios have wonderful outdoor artwork and creative spaces that you really won't want to miss just because of a little rain!
A little September weather is all part of the adventure. Check the forecast, dress for the conditions and bring an umbrella if needed. Then take your time travelling between studios and enjoy the Tour, rain or shine!
- Can artists apply to participate in the Uxbridge Studio Tour?
Yes. If you’re a new artist interested in joining the Uxbridge Studio Tour, the best first step is to be considered for a Guest Artist spot.
Guest Artists are selected and invited by individual Studio Artists, based in part on whether their studio is a good fit for showcasing your work. If you’re interested, contact the Tour organizers in January at uxbridgestudiotour@gmail.com so participating Studio Artists know you’re available.
