The TINKL Book Is Almost Here!

After many months of planning, fundraising, photographing, writing, designing, and printing, the TINKL Book is finally becoming a reality.

As we write this in early summer 2026, we're waiting with a mixture of nervous excitement while Wild Tinkls is actually on the printing press! It's a remarkable feeling to know that something that began as a community dream is about to become a real, tangible book.

Published by Firefly Books, with an insightful essay by Tom Smart and photographs by Steven Frank, Nick Tinkl, and others, this beautiful publication celebrates the extraordinary creative worlds of Judith and Viktor Tinkl. None of it would have been possible without the generosity of the many supporters who believed in the project from the very beginning. Thank you all. Your encouragement and sponsorship helped bring this book to life.

The finished volume is a stunning 10" × 14" hardcover, featuring approximately 300 pages and a unique two-sided format that devotes roughly half the book to each artist's work, essentially two books in one.

We're delighted to share that the book is expected to arrive in time for the Uxbridge Studio Tour this September. Copies will be available at:

Or through your favourite local independent bookstore.

Whether you've followed Judith and Viktor's work for years or are discovering it for the first time, we hope this book becomes a lasting celebration of their remarkable creativity, generosity, and artistic legacy.

Visit our website again soon or check in to Lynne McIlvride's book updates blog post regularly for more information

We can't wait to finally hold it in our hands, and we look forward to sharing it with you this September!
