Marjolyn Pritchard
Marjolyn Pritchard's love of working with glass has gradually moved from intricate stained glass to whimsical fused glass work as well as larger pieces.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Working with glass has been a passion of Marjolyn's for a number of years.
Marjolyn began with stained glass projects (glass pieces held together with lead), creating windows, panels, lampshades and sun catchers. Once Marjolyn explored and found the wonderful effects that can be created with fused glass (glass pieces fired at high temperatures in a kiln), she was hooked.
She began with small pieces of fused glass, creating cards and framed pieces. Her newer work includes large panels, pieces for the garden and more recently, 'lazy Suzannes' in a variety of colours incorporating silk-screened images.
Studio 5
This year, Marjolyn will be showing her work at the Uxbridge studio of painter Sharon Nielsen along with fellow guest artists Krista Sweet and Daina Schreiber.
