ABOUT THE ARTIST
After a successful 35-year career in marketing and public relations, JoAnne launched an exciting new creative chapter through mixed media art. What began as experimentation with collage, découpage, and abstract painting quickly grew into a prolific artistic practice driven by curiosity, energy, and a fearless use of colour.
Inspired by movement, beauty, and everyday life, JoAnne creates contemporary works that blend images, words, textures, and vivid hues into expressive, dynamic compositions. From abstract paintings to whimsical character portraits and playful cork art, her work reflects both creativity and joy.
Now fully immersed in her “second career,” JoAnne exhibits regularly and collaborates with fellow artists. Her work can be found in private and corporate collections across Canada and internationally.

JoAnne will be showing her work at the Uxbridge studio of painter Sharon Nielsen, along with fellow guest artists Marjolyn Pritchard and James Warburton.
