James Warburton
With more than five decades of craftsmanship behind him, James brings artistry, precision, and timeless design together in beautifully handcrafted woodwork inspired by tradition, music, and a lifelong passion for the arts.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
James has been working with wood for over 50 years, since he built a crib for his firstborn.
His educational background took some interesting turns, as he has diplomas from both the Ontario College of Art (now OCAD) and Trinity College of Music (London, England).
James went on to become a music teacher, an art teacher, and finally an arts department head for many years.
He has built various styles of furniture, including Colonial, Shaker and mid-century modern. He has also built many classical guitars.
Living in Uxbridge, in a beautiful century home and with an exquisite workshop, has afforded James the opportunity to develop his skills to the fullest in a wonderful community.
