Susan Whitebread
Using colours inspired by Chagall, Susan Whitebread transforms reclaimed everyday items into unique works of art that will make your heart sing.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Susan Whitebread has made art all her life. Her years as a teacher gave her the opportunity to share her love of creating with children. She has spent a lifetime incorporating materials that are at hand to create something new.
Sue has a great love of 3D structures and uses cardboard, wood and paper mache to express her whimsical art work inspired by the colourful works of Marc Chagall.
Playing with colour and form, Susan manipulates boxes and cardboard into paper mache sculptures that reflect the whimsy her students brought to her art camps. All of her works were something else once! As a friend once told her, “Find stuff. Use stuff.”
Studio 23
This year, Susan will be showing her work in the indoor/outdoor studio gallery of painter Colin Whitebread along with Gordon Reidt, Sarah Porter and Kirsty Naray.
