Mary Philpott

Ceramic artist Mary Philpott creates enchanting, nature-inspired works that blend storytelling, tradition, and a deep love of the natural world.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Mary Philpott is a full-time craft artist whose practice encompasses both sculptural ceramics and bespoke porcelain tile design. Mary also paints in oil, exploring the subject matter of flora and fauna.

She is a graduate of the School of Craft and Design, Sheridan College (Ceramics), the University of Guelph (Art History, Classics and Medieval Studies), and also studied at McMaster University (Archeology, Anthropology) before finding her love of Ceramics.

Mary moved to the Uxbridge countryside over ten years ago. Surrounded by nature, and the love of the wildlife, the flora and fauna are evident in her sculpture and tilework.
