ABOUT THE ARTIST
Karin Silverstone is a Guelph-based artist and educator whose evocative mixed-media landscapes explore the delicate interplay between nature and human presence.
Working primarily with pencil on plastered lath salvaged from local renovations, she weaves themes of dormancy, regrowth, and conservation into her art.
By integrating elements like discontinued wallpaper and subtle traces of human infrastructure, Silverstone invites viewers to reflect on the resilience of natural environments and the impact of societal encroachment.
