It's clear from the moment you meet an artist that they each have a special way of seeing the world. For many artists this unique vision is evident in the colourful glasses they wear, fabulous hairstyles, hats, jewellery or their everyday clothing. Let's face it...artists have style...especially Uxbridge artists (if I do say so myself).
So it wasn't surprising when one of our stylish artists was featured on the website of Toronto bespoke clothing specialists King & Bay
Our very own Mike Wilkins was shopping for something out of the ordinary when low and behold along came the perfect fabric for a quirky and colourful new Uxbridge Studio Tour jacket! Here's a little of what the guys at King & Bay had to say:
We'd been waiting for quite a while... for the perfect client with the perfect style to whom we could offer our limited edition 'stained glass window' fabric. We found this very unique fabric in Italy. And, we were only able to purchase enough for a single garment. So, needless to say, it was precious. We just needed the right client – one who would appreciate it as much as we did. (Read more)
It's a great moment when a work of art finds its new home...even if the work of art is a jacket. The big question is...which of our fabulous artists will create the perfect custom cufflinks or buttons to go with Mike's new jacket? OH...and what about a fabulous scarf to wear with it this fall?
