Tom Loach

Tom Loach's unique works incorporating surprising combinations of materials such as stone and metal can be seen in homes, offices, and gardens across Canada.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Influenced by growing up in the wilds of Northern Ontario, Tom has always had a strong connection with nature. This often comes through in his artistic creations.

Although Tom has no formal education in the arts, he has always had a creative bend that's irrepressible.

Tom Loach, Metal Work

Tom's entrepreneurial and creative personality has allowed him to build a thriving metal fabrication business while also using that business as an artistic tool as well as an endless source of materials and ideas for both Tom and his wife Lynn Bishop.

Recently when reflecting on the creative side of his life and what he's produced in the past few years Tom came to the realization that the majority of his creative energy has gone into the custom house that they've been working on for the past 4 years.

The house is a showcase of the possibilities that can be achieved when one has access to incredible resources as well as the ability to think "outside of the box."

The final steel staircase will be completed for this year’s tour (Hopefully!)

And then the house will be done!!

Of course, we know that actually never happens.

Studio 5

For 2024 Tom and partner Lynn Bishop will be welcoming guests to their stunning home studio/gallery to view their work along with that of guest artist Daniel Colby.
