Barbara Murphy
Barbara Murphy creates delightful and quirky watercolour works of art highlighting her love for the people and places around her.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Barbara attended the Ontario College of Art( now OCAD) in the 1940s. She worked at as a commercial artist at Templeton Studios (nee the Canadian Art Centre).
For a few years she painted and displayed work in local Art Shows and commercial venues and taught art to young children at a local recreation centre. She took a hiatus when she married and raised her 8 children.
In recent years she took it up again and has been doing portraits of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her work has been in juried shows at the Robert McLaughlin Gallery several times.

For 2023 Barbara will be welcoming guests to view her work at the home/studio/gallery of Saundra Reiner. along with fellow guest artists Anne Mizen and Barbara Pratt.
