ABOUT THE ARTIST
Linda Welch is inspired to be part of such a vibrant artistic community. Currently Linda holds the position of President of the Society of York Region Artists but professionally, she taught Animation, Computer Graphics, Media Literacy and Television Studio Production with the York Region School Board.
Always fascinated by street photography she studied with professionals in various locations around the world to learn their techniques. Most recently Linda was in Gros Morne National Park NFLD., but other trips involved photographing the ‘Dia de los Muertos’ celebrations in Oaxaca, Mexico.
Linda's Uxbridge family tree dates back over nearly two hundred years so you might say she's ‘rooted in the past. She’s a visual storyteller with evocative images that take you to another place and time.
Since 2013, Linda has organized and led painting and photography tours for artists to Ireland and Spain and Southern France. On Location Artists’ Tours helps artists develop their artistic skills and improve their photography skills to ensure great images.
