Diane Smith has spent the last number of years honing her creative skills - it has been quite the journey of discovery and experimentation! Diane’s jewellery is made from sterling silver often accented with karat gold and/or genuine stones and pearls.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Diane is the designer and maker and works out of her home studio in Port Perry, Ontario.
Honing her skills over the last number of years has been quite the journey of discovery and experimentation, which really never stops!
Diane’s jewellery is all made from sterling silver often accented with karat gold and/or genuine stones and pearls.
Diane uses various traditional silversmithing techniques to fabricate her jewellery such as reticulation, fusing and forging to create a variety of different pieces. As well, her chainmail utilizes her own hand-cut jump rings.
After finishing her courses she started her journey doing juried art and craft shows, such as the Muskoka Show, the Scugog Studio Tour, Dockside Festival of the Arts, and the Cobourg Waterfront Festival just to mention a few.
In 2011 she continued her dream by opening her shop in Downtown Port Perry. She loved that phase of her journey and she closed the shop in early 2020, to ‘’retire’’.
She takes great pride in her designs and the quality of her craftsmanship and is proud to offer high quality, unique and distinctive jewellery that she hopes you will love and enjoy!
