In a moment pained and strangled by the glaring overuse of beige in her building, Suzanne Crone rose Athena-like, rescuing her screaming, brittle sanity by using colours of interior latex paint and prepared drop-cloths to create vibrant, often odd paintings that will most surely grab your attention.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Suzanne Crone, sprouted on a hobby farm near the Hockley Valley, but bloomed throughout Toronto and Southern Ontario, now somewhat rooted in Uxbridge.
Delightfully stunned to be invited to be on the tour, Suzanne credits covid and the excessive use of beige in her building for her recent drive to paint.
The woman works on prepped dropcloths with mostly interior latex paints. She finds thrill in the initial moment of committing to the painting, and takes great relief and support from the idea that any mistakes can be painted over.
Suzanne finds the human form difficult but compelling. Cantaloupes are much easier.
