ABOUT THE ARTIST
James is a graduate of the Ontario College of Art and Trinity College of Music. He received his teacher training at the University of Toronto and his Masters Degree through Mount Saint Vincent University in Halifax. He was a professional musician for many years before becoming an art teacher.
James taught art at the secondary school level for 25 years. However, working with wood has been a constant in his life for over 45 years. He built primarily furniture during most of that time but for the last 6 years has concentrated on lutherie, building classical guitars and more recently violins.
