Carmel Brennan – OSA
I am a photographer, a painter, a teacher, and a writer. I am a recorder of images. My camera is a sketchbook for documenting life. Artwork results because I desire a mark on the wall that indicates a passage in my time and another story to be told.
Born in Birmingham, England, Carmel Brennan has been a professional artist since the early 1970’s. Her post-secondary education was at the George Washington University, The Corcoran School of Art (Washington D,C.), the University of Toronto and York University, Toronto.
As a teacher of Visual Arts, she involves herself in various arts organizations and societies. Carmel has worked as a professional photographer since 1971. She is the Past President of the Ontario Society of Artists.
Carmel Brennan exhibits her photography, painting and printmaking in commercial and public galleries. Her studio and residence in Sunderland, Ontario, is open to visitors annually, on the third weekend of September, as part of the Uxbridge Studio Tour.
